I AM SO SCARED

I was typing my English project, nice and happy on my bed, when OUT OF NO WHERE this ugly giant spider comes careening down on it's massive crazy web and swings over my bed and up my wall.
Now, I am absolutely terrified of spiders. Like, i see one, and i freeze. I cant move because the terror renders me immobile.
Now imagine that, only in HUGE UGLY spider form. I was trembling and on the verge of tears I was so scared.
In Normal circumstances, I'd scream for a family member to come and get the spider. Only it was 1:30 in the morning, and everyone was asleep. So away slipped the spider.
Ok, fine, its gone somewhere.

But wait...somewhere IN MY ROOM.

Thats it, i'm sleeping downstairs.

Seriously, thats how bad it is...if i know there is a bug in my room, I cant sleep until it's dead, or I sleep somewhere else.
Darn it.

PS: I usually name things, but this spider is soooo ugly I cant even bring myself to name it.

PSS: AHHHHHHHHHHHH now its ON MY CELING sneaking around. I'm going to cry.

PSSS: It's coming closer. it will eat me.

I HEART FIZIX

I am typing up my Physics Lab. (it is almost 2 months late...oops).

And I am ANGRY because Microsoft Word keeps telling me that Photogate is not a word!
And yes, I am aware that technically, it is supposed to be 2 words....but it looks so much nicer as one word.

Now I'm listening to David Archuleta....awww he is so adorable and insanely talented. I want him to win. Either David or David (Cook).
David squared.
They can both win.

Peace and Idols,
Mik

Oh, What a Tangled Web I Weave...

This is the party of technology that exists on the floor near my bed.

WHOOT WHOOT UP IN HEA!
*fails miserably at a party reenactment*

I counted 8 different chords.

....

and the sad part is, that within the past 5 minutes, I have used 7 out of those 8 chords in my nightly electronic updating.
Yikes.

I wonder what cavemen did without all this technology?
Actually, I take back that question...I don't wanna know

APRIL FOOLS

Gotta love the Fools.
But really I wasn't in school today, and I don't feel well.
But honestly I have no clue what Hyposectmia is...i think i made it up.

I know that This is not original in ANY WAY. But hey, I was home alone all day, I had to fool someone, right? Or at least try?

EH?
AY?
yes.
The Answer is yes.

PS: While you're at it, check out PJ's new video. It is truly brilliant.

I AM HAVING A BAD DAY

I didn't get to finish my math test, which I NEED a good grade on. So I start off with a 90 because I had to hand it in before I could finish the last problem.
And do you know what important things we had to do AFTER the test?
play hangman.
I was forced to hand in my test 15 minutes before class ended so we could sit around and play hangman.
And the day just went downhill from there, coz I'm angry.
Too angry to write anything else, so I'll find a nice picture to post:

Happy Easter!

I love Easter. It is just a good feeling, because you know that Jesus did what he did for you. So as long as you believe in him and what he did, you're all set.
So Bona Pasqua Everyone!

On another note, I'm miffed coz we couldn't go to the concert...I'll vent about that later.
But in the mean time, here is perhaps the greatest sign I have ever seen.
I forget what store it was in, but I saw it, and me and Sarah just looked at each other and go "OH. MY. GOSH. Take a picture!"
So here it is:
From now on, every time I see a giraffe, I am going to ask for help. No matter what. DONE.
Eat Eggs!

I basically love the Nite-Time

And I basically hate essays about books that I hated. Thats a double hate.
Only hate is a strong word, so I'll say I have a strong antipathy towards them.
Yeah.
But what I love is that these such essays let me stay up later I guess...only it's not the fun kinda of staying up like "Yay let's watch scary movies and eat popcorn on the couch."
Oh no.
It's more like the "Darn it all I need more literary Criticism only none exists because no one has written about my topic in the history of topics written and I'm gonna get an F because I can't find any but if I make some up I'll get in even more trouble and it's late and I'm tired and wanna go to sleep and dream of happy things like ponies and cookies dipped in milk."
(Only the cookies will be dipped in milk, no soggy ponies)
So yeah...
and I also love how I procrastinate my essay by writing a blog about how much I dislike my essay.
Good Times though, because I know at least 30 other kids in my class will be doing the same.
I wish we all had anti-essay telepathy so we could talk to each other as we all sit in our rooms and stare angrily at our computers.
This post has been longer than I had anticipated.

So I will leave you with a random picture I've taken:

I freakin love people.

Peace and cheers,

Airport Shenanagins!

So we started up here by the road....

And we followed this landing strip down to that tiny building in the distance....

And arrived here....

And here is where we almost died. Sorta.

Grrrrr

So I had a date and no dress....and now I have a dress and no date.
Sigh.

I'm just not having a good day.
I've been cleaning my room, which is semi-clean now, and I had planned to do all these fun things this weekend, but Saturday is almost over and all I have done is find out I'm dateless and make my room halfway clean.
Not that I need a date to have fun, but I told my friend who booked the limo to reserve me 2 spots, and now I only need one, which means everyone is gonna have to pay a bit more. And they are gonna be mad at me.

Also I have a fair amount of homework this weekend, and all I have done was read a packet, and that was while I was babysitting last night and I was basically asleep.

My heart just feels funny right now. Like its slowly deciding that it wants to be somewhere else, other than beating inside me. (wow, that sounded really emo right there!)
Maybe not that extreme, I dunno, I'm just in a sad mood.

Oh AND I am supposed to teach Sunday School tomorrow, and the other girls STILL have not called me back.
Looks like it's gonna be up to rushed phone calls on Saturday nite. (AGAIN).
I mean I try, I send them emails at the beginning of the week, and they respond and say they will call me, but they don't.
I try.
I really do.

On a happy note, Jessie and I had a fun time at the Airport. On a scale of 1-10 on how freaked out we were, I gave it a 5, and she a 6.
It was creeeeeeepy.
Muy creepy.
But I wanna go back.

Bye Bye everyone.
Maybe I'll vlog a bit today.

So basically prom is frustrating.
I have to:
  1. Find a dress that looks expensive but isn't
  2. Find shoes that match
  3. Paint my nails and toes
  4. Get a fancy hairdo
  5. Find a limo and organize who will be in it besides me
  6. Find money to pay for all this, plus the ticket (ouch)
  7. Find a nice boy to go with me (like that'll happen in Franklin)
And if I were a guy, I'd have to:
  1. Ask a girl
  2. Rent a tux
  3. Buy a ticket
DONE

Being a girl is so complicated sometimes.

Anyways, I went dress shopping the other day with Jessie.
I never found "the one".
But I'm gonna keep looking obviously. Or go naked.
I chose dress.
But I also think it would be classy to go in a dress and Converse. Nice.
Here are a few highlights of the shopping event.

After all this, I was excited to shop more.
But then in bed that night, I was like:
"Maybe I just won't go to prom."
Here's Why in List Form:
  • I can't dance very well
  • It is expensive like mad
  • I'm not sure if it is worth the stress
  • I'll feel weird if I go without a guy, but I doubt anyone will ask me. And I'm not the type to ask.
  • Prom Drama has already begun
  • Someone will no doubt spike the punch
SIGH.
But then I told myself that I should go.
Here's Why:
  • I get to dress up like a princess
  • I can ride in a limo for the first time
  • It's fun getting all dressed up
  • I will have a summer job, so I'll get more money
  • This is supposed to be the "best night of my life"
  • I'll feel really left out if I don't go
  • Someone will no doubt spike the punch.
So I lost against myself 6 to 7.
I guess I'm going to the prom.

Peace and List-Happiness,
Mik

White and Nerdy and we used it to our Advantage

So, if you know me you probably know that yesterday 3 friends and I took the train into Boston and went to the Museum of Fine Arts.
I will now tell the story for your hearing pleasure with the use of handy visual aides.
First we showed up at the train station and boarded. And we were quite bored. ( insert pun ).
So when cute girls like us ( Sarah knows this ) are bored, we take pictures of ourselves. We are not vain, just bored.
Example:

Jessie and I talked about underwear, art class and random other things. I'm not sure what Sarah and Jojo talked about.

Next we arrived at Ruggles Station and argued about which way to go, until a nice lady with a star tattoo told us the way. Traveling onward, another nice lady in a Monster Truck (Monster energy drinks) handed us free Monster Coffees. I didn't take one because caffeine makes me strange and uncomfortable.
Then we entered the Museum and got in free because we were 17 or under and on school vacation. Then some guy checked our tickets and told Jojo that her bag was too big and needed to be checked. To Baggage!
We checked our coats with this little older lady who didn't speak much English, but still I wouldn't mess with her in a million years. She could probably take me down with one hand.
Then we embarked into the heart of the Museum.
First we went through Egypt and the like, and looked at all the old sculptures and jewelery. It was all so amazing.
I found this helmet that looked like a Batman helmet:

Next we went through the Ancient Rome section. It was all so fantastic, and Italian-ish. I loved it. We took some interesting pictures.

Next we went into the painting section and nerded out. It was great. This nice security guard told us all about a painting we had been staring at for about 5 minutes. He told us that the Disney Castle was based on the castle in the painting. Wow. Me and Sarah (and this random kid who walked by) said that it reminded us of Narnia. I also thought it was ironic because it was called "The Forest and Hunting" or something like that, and all the men were going off the hunt, but we, the viewers, could see that all the animals were in the other direction. Haha.
I took a picture of it, but it came out blurry.

When we were looking at the painting still, Jessie taps me and says "Look right" so I lok right and see this guy intently staring at a painting. And I mean Intently. He didn't even notice us staring at him. So Jessie fell in love, and made me stand in front of random things so she could pretend to take pictures of me but actually take pictures of Edward (that's what she named him). Then eventually none of the pictures came out so she just took a picture of him outright. Only he was so focused on the art, he had no idea. What a guy.

Sorry some photos are sideways, I'm not sure how to fix that yet.
Here is a fascinating painting of paintings. Wow.

Here is a glass purse.

Here is the ceiling.

Another cool painting.

Next we went out for lunch. I had a surprisingly good burrito. When Sarah and Jojo were up ordering, Jessie took a picture of them in line and waved. And this older man thought we were waving to him, and then proceded to follow us until we left. He is actually in the corner of the picture. Creeeeeeeeeeepy.

Back in the Museum, we looked at more paintings and then went to the Gift Shop! We looked at tons of books, and suddenly the lunch hit us and we all curled up next to the "50% Off" book rack and read random books. Sarah read us this hilarious quote book and I looked at a cat book and British travel guides and such. Jessie looked for cheaper Aussie books, but didn't find any :(
Eventually we dragged ourselves up and back out into the world.
As we went out the museum door, Sarah and Jojo were walking down the steps with Jessie and I close behind, when these 2 boys turned the corner and the conversation went something like this: (correct me Jessie if i'm wrong)
Boy: Hello ladies, how are you?
Me: Good...
Boy: Did you enjoy the museum?
Me: Yes, it was very interesting.
Boy: Thats good, are you from Boston?
Me: No.
Boy: Are you a college student here?
Me: No
Boy: Then where are you from?
Me: Franklin.
Boy: Where is that?
Me: Exactly, it's kinda in the middle of nowhere.
Boy: Me too, I mean we are from Agawam.... one knows where that is. Springfield?
Me: Yep, I've been there.
Boy: Cool, well you ladies have a good rest of the day now
Me and Jessie: Thanks, bye, you too.

It was truly strange. Why?
1. They were cute.
2. That sort of thing doesn't usually happen to me.
3. If they were hitting on us, they were very polite.
4. They liked art, coz they went into the Museum afterwords.

As we walked back to the station, we all came to the conclusion that an Art Museum during vacation would be a good place to meet guys who weren't jerks, because obviously they had good taste and were well mannered.
Back at the station, I bought a water and Jojo bought an Oringina.

Then we had nothing to do, so we took pictures again until we got on the train, where we took more. Here is a string of the ones we took. Again, sorry if your neck breaks trying to see them :P

THEN WE CAME HOME!

Let's Reminisce Together

MUSEUM ADVENTURE IS GONNA BE UP TOMORROW!
i'm waiting to get all the pictures first.
I am going to use them as visual aides for my intellectual, thrilling and sensational story.

Art. Creepy men. Polite Boys.
(wtf on the last one!!!!??! I didn't know that existed in this world!!)

....no offense to all the guys I'm friends with. You all rock. :D

Rain makes my hair frizzy

I don't know about you guys, but this is getting ridiculous.
At least it's getting warmer today.

Tomorrow should be fun, and now I'm glad we didn't go today, coz we would have been drenched. And no one loves soggy art nerds.
Now I need to go shower to get the smell of burnt veggie bacon out of my hair.
And I REALLY want to watch Ferris Bueller's  Day Off.

VACATION is a word I love. Very much.
Other words I love are: RATHER, RIDICULOUS, and SQUEE
I know squee is not a word, but it very accurately describes the way I feel when I see something I like. I squee.

So anyways, I am embarking on a journey this week, a journey called vacation. Hurray!

I haven't blogged as much as I've wanted to...

according to the All-Knowing Wikipedia, the origin of the word Blog is from a combo of the words Web Log. interesting.

Nothing much going on right now. Playing guitar, and trying to find the distance from Ruggles Station to the Museum of Fine Arts. I think it's a little less than a mile. Eh.
But my friends and I are going there this week coz we are Art Nerds.

Speaking of Art Nerds, here is a photo I took and kinda like. I stuck a flower in the snow at various places in my yard and took pictures till my nose went numb with chilliness.
HARDCORE PHOTOGRAPHERS UNITE!
yeah.

I'm also reading 13 Blue Envelopes by Maureen Johnson for the Nerdfighter's Blurbing Bookclub. (VlogBrothers on Youtube...Hank and John are fantastic) It's good so far....but it makes me sad coz I'm so jealous of the girl. She is shy and didn't even want to be in London in the first place, and already she is just THERE FOR 2 DAYS and met a wonderful boy (ex-convict/thief/drunken hooligan, but wonderful now) and they travel around together... :(
Grrrr.....but then she made him mad and he went away...so HA. I wouldn't have done that.

Then I read my London Travel guide and feel slightly better.

Mik's Quote of the Day:
"The Queen talked to me like she was in a pub with the lads. "

And so the Legacy begins...

...or at least I hope a Legacy will ensue.

SO. BLOGS.
all the cool kids have 'em.
And in my ongoing struggle to be just like everyone else, I felt it was necessary to begin one myself.
Personally, I like reading other people's blogs. They offer a secret little window into worlds I would otherwise have no access to.
So in other words I mainly read the blogs of people I wish I was friends with, but sadly don't know that well.
I'll have to post the links blogs I read sometime...

So here are some things about me:
-I am a girl, but defy cliches and rather dislike the color pink.
-I have a mom, dad, little sister and two cats.
-I go to a high school on a regular basis.
-I currently take 2 AP classes.
-I am obsessed with all things British.
-Some bands I like are Mcfly, Relient K, The Academy Is..., Hellogoodbye, The Click Five, and Sherwood. But I like tons of music.
-I want to be a photographer, or a music video producer. Or something else. :)
-My current ambition is to become a YouTube celebrity and be invited to make collaboration videos with the other youtubers I admire.
-My favorite show is BBC's Robin Hood.
-My favorite actor is Harry Lloyd.
-I am terrified of anything with more than 4 legs.
-If you are nice to me, I will be nice back.
-I melt for a British accent

ehhh.....the above can serve as a basic tool you can use to strike up a conversation with me, should you ever meet me randomly on the street and wish to speak. I will be instantly enthralled should you mention any of the above. (minus the high school bit)

Let's make another list:

What I plan to Get Out of This Blog:
-A place to write my thoughts to strangers. (do you ever find it's so much easier to write to people you don't know than people you do?)
-A place to use proper grammar if I want to, or wrong grammar if i dont wanna
-A place to post random things I've written, or pictures I've taken, or drawings I've, er, drawn.
-Hopefully a place to make a friend or two.

Feel free to comment if you think you have something to say. And even if you don't. :D

Peace and Cheers,
Mik
